Double Shovel Kodiak, Memorial weekend and Kodiak’s Crabfest, Baitshack’s Sheep Creek Clean-up on May 14th, the Homer winter king derby postponed, Salty Jean’s polish hotdog on the Salty Dog’s after hours menu, A.J’s Steakhouse and a great dining experience, captain Josh Brooks (RIP) of “The Huntress”, Bonine (Treatment for motion sickness & vertigo), Derby planning, logistics, lodging and first trip of the season trailering issues, “Homewrecker”, “Deep in Cider” & “Down Ass Riggerz”, post party night blues and the day after on the water, “Full Puke off”, the salty dog blur, how often do they change out the ones at the Salty Dog?, Lands end salt water hot tubs, Homer vibes, culture, shopping, restraints and port town lifestyle, Redoubt volcano eruption of 1989, Spurs volcano eruption of 1992, A.I.R.S (Mt, Augustine, Mt. Iliamna, Mt. Redoubt, & Mt. Spur, the Homer Ash Cup hockey tournament, king salmon trolling method and strategy debate, bait/lures, flashers, leader length and down riggers, should they move the derby date?, Snarls in the rigging and Jake’s magic, loosing your hydraulic steering and oil leaks, State Troopers passing out fines and coast guards boarding/inspecting the boat, boat launch mayhem and “that guy”, dealing with they boat before and after the fishing and logistic carnage
